AGL Networks completes Fiber Ring expansion into i/o Data Centers

PHOENIX – September 18, 2008 - AGL Networks announced today the expansion of the company’s dark fiber footprint into i/o Data Centers’ Scottsdale ONE data center. This 4 route mile ring expansion includes diverse fiber entrances into the facility.

“Adding a world class data center like i/o’s facility to our growing list of on-net buildings, positions AGL Networks to provide clients with unique options for data center collocation and network peering,” said Jim Gillis, president, AGL Networks. “Our expansion will continue as we assess our customers needs and network plans. This strategy benefits our customer’s as they seek reduced costs, enhanced network security and network redundancy.”

"We're pleased with AGL Networks decision to extend their dark fiber network into our Scottsdale ONE facility," said Matthew Calhoun, chief technology officer, i/o Data Centers. "This additional capacity will offer our existing and future clients greater diversity, flexibility and lower cost connectivity options."

The benefits of leasing capacity from AGL Networks include the ease and ability to increase bandwidth on demand, complete route diversity from other providers, enhanced network security with an all underground network, flexibility in applications provided by dark fiber, and a reduction in overall telecommunication costs.

This addition brings AGL Networks Phoenix footprint to 225 route miles, and is the fifth such expansion in the past year. For more information about AGL networks, visit our website at www.aglnetworks.com.
